My Story

Alastair's journey began with a turbulent childhood in Zimbabwe during a civil war, where he witnessed firsthand the devastating impacts of political and economic instability. He found early entrepreneurial success in the safari industry but eventually transitioned to a career on Wall Street after immigrating to the U.S.. Disillusioned by the high-pressure, sales-focused environment of finance, he soon faced severe financial setbacks following the tech bubble burst and a failed business partnership, forcing him to reevaluate his approach to money and business. These experiences became a catalyst for his deep study of business and economic cycles.

Motivated by a desire to avoid repeating past mistakes, he immersed himself in understanding how cycles shape markets, businesses, and personal fortunes. This knowledge allowed him to protect his assets and those of his clients during the housing and financial crises, ultimately achieving long-term financial stability and success. His insights have since been applied to asset management and advisory roles, where he has guided others through volatile economic periods with a keen eye on cyclical trends.

Through this lived experience—spanning war, entrepreneurial ventures, financial crises, and economic recovery— he has developed a unique perspective on the critical importance of recognizing and adapting to cycles. His track record of turning personal and professional adversity into strategic insight uniquely qualifies him to lead discussions aimed at helping entrepreneurs and investors better understand and leverage cycles for future preparedness and success.
